Gumboot Friday

Hello today is Gumboot Friday and we will be explaining what it is through a slide show.

What I learned about  Gumboot Friday is that it is  a way to spread awareness of mental health. 

The reasons we doing the slide is to help spread awareness and let others know its okay to ask for help.

Almost everyone will struggle with mental health but it’s how you deal with.

 

My Maps

Today in class we learned to use my maps.

What is my maps well it is a learning and exploring tool that lets you look around the world put pins on different places you can also include a picture of it to. My maps has a lot of great features which let you put different places you learning about in one kind of layer which keeps them together you can also name the layer so you can come back to it later.

Double Glazed WIndowzs

For these past few weeks Te Wairua Pakiki hub have been learning about a technological process in order to learn that we have been working on double glazed windows and adding information about it and putting it into a slide show. We used three different resources listed in the slides. This project also explains why we need double glazed windows in our houses.

Do you know what types of houses use one glazed windows to this day.

Something I learned is that double glazed windows help control weather.

My Artwork

I chose MT Wellington in auckland

Today I will being showing and explaining my
process of my art.

1 First we were given A4 paper and told to draw a
outline of a mountain

2 Secondly at them bottom you would make a outline of a
beach or river that you are connected to

3 Thirdly you would make a pattern inside the mountain
and beach then trace over with sharpie.

4 You then would pick two shades of colours to colour
your mountain two shades for beach and sunset.

5 Then you would blend the colours and put the paper on
black paper

Can you create artwork like this and better.

My artwork

Today my class and I met a guest named lucy who is an artist
who mostly works with year 6.
She introduced a different way to do art.
Well as we got introduced to lucy she gave us all A4 papers and a pencil
and told us that first thing we will be doing some drawings to warm up.
Here is a list of warm ups we did.

1 The first warm up were some lines
2 The second warm up was 3D shapes
3 The Third warm up was to draw someones eyes.
4 The Fourth warm up was to sketch a nose.

This specific type of art we were preparing for was called self
portrait to do a how to create a self portrait is to draw a
picture of yourself but very detailed.
The warm up was to get our hand ready for the amount of sketching we
were gonna do.

Feast Day Of The Annunciation of Mary

Hello and welcome to my blog of the annunciation of mary.

We celebrate annunciation of mary on the 25th  of March.

What is the annunciation of Mary well I will be telling
you in this blog.

What Did Mary Say

The annunciation is when angel Gabriel
visited mary and told  her that she will
give birth to her lords son. Angel Gabriel
said that you have to name him Jesus and
she said "YES".

How Do We Celebrate The Annunciation 

Every christian around the world celebrates
the annunciation by doing a decade of the
rosary Recently Pope francis add a few
more prayers for Ukraine and Russia.
As a school we went to the church 
and did 10 hail marys.
